The Community Hub

Nuneaton, Warwickshire

At the IAR community hub in Queens Road, Nuneaton, we provide a wide variety of classes, groups, and workshops for all members of the community. We have also made major plans to support the community and service users with a very honest and realistic solution to Addiction Recovery.

This will provide a safe, warm, and welcoming place for those who struggle  with day to day life,Many members of the community suffer during winter with both fuel and food costs, thus, as part of our plans towards the warm hub we plan to provide a fully equipped soup kitchen, and community café. The activities include arts and crafts classes, mediation workshops, mental health wellbeing classes, addiction recovery courses, benefit advise and support class, gardening projects and a wood working shop, all ran by trained professionals.

Journey to recovery

Ryan Brown, 37 years old

Ryan as a child felt like he did not fit in anywhere, which made him rely on a bad circle of friends (from his transition from childhood to adulthood). This lead him to a path where he tried drugs and alcohol with his peers as he felt accepted and loved by them. Many years of binge drinking & taking all types of drugs pushed him into severe depression and anxiety, leading to bad relationships, losing jobs and being homeless. All of this contributed Ryan to realise that he needed some sort of help and that helping hand was extended by IAR. Now, he has found himself and has been progressively working on his recovery while helping others in their recovery through volunteering. He is now a changed man who wants to help as many people with addiction and mental illness by using his own experience and the power of gratitude, love & forgiveness.
